I bought a HF roller, beefed it up and made a set of dies that are flat bottomed (more like factory floor pan ribs) and started with the wheel wells of my Henry J. I got one rib kind of crooked but I think the're all right. [/IMG] Blue
My latest work was to transition from my squared off driveshaft tunnel to a rounded transmission hump by starting light beads all from the same point to equally spaced marks on the opposite edge. [/IMG] Blue
Just bought a Eastwood off ebay yesterday; should be here in a coupla days. Looks just like the HF, and for $150 with Free Freight, seems a better deal than running over to HF. & added sales tax. Looking forward to making some floor pieces for the 40 Chrysler. I intend on beefing it up like some of you have done. Probably do what Frenchtown Flyer has done using the tapered 2x2 tubes. For those that have the HF version, what is the thickness of the main frame? Eastwood says theirs is 1/2". I'll model it up and make a drawing if there's some interest out there....no charge gatz
