flathead with (4) exhaust pipes damn... that thing is wild. So whats the story with the heads, exhaust valves in head and exit bottom of head? holy... those rockers/covers rule. DUAL mags to boot. im way into that motor.

So what the hell do you call that a "semi OHV"

I belive what you guys are dis-membering yourselves over is a V8-60 with a set of Smith' Jiggler overhead exhaust valve conversions and such. Sprint car stuff, I actually laid hands on a set of those at the LA Roadster show several years ago. Even then they brought big money.

 

F-head stuff. Intake valve system stays the same as stock with valves in the block while exhaust uses the overhead valves with exhaust ports cast into the heads...
I was blown the first time I saw it too. Bill has a ton-o-stuff like that in his mueseum...If you've ever been there, you've found it hard to leave!

 

I know that the early lincoln flatheads had 4 exhaust ports, but the were 10 cyl. i think?? Nate
