Although getting a winter make over, i'm keeping my car as a roller as much as possible. Took the car for a drive last night after over a month being tucked away. Great feeling to be driving it, you forget how much a cruise can give you a buzz. If i can use the car a few times i'll be happy but generally i don't cruise in winter, thats time to be in the warm garage, drinking JD, messing about with spanners and away from ice and salt. I lived in Oz for 8 years and not really having a winter was kind of hard to get used to at first. All year round cruising and no need to hide in the garage for 6 months. It's a hard life for some eh:rolleyes:

We've got a winter cruise-in next weekend in conjuntion with the White Liquor and Dirt Tracks event in Mount Airy. I'll be riding my to that before pulling the motor to swap tranny's the next weekend.

In Wisconsin, we pretty much put em away late October, early November. This year we didn't get snow until early January. So we cruised for a Christmas tree, cold as hell but no road salt. Mark

;)Pretty much everyone in south TEXAS!!! Since a winter is really like a cold front or two with a brief freeze and nothing more!

Still driving the Ford and the Lincoln every week. Lincoln has destroyed heater cores so it's kinda cold...

Funny thing, company car (OT Maxima) wouldn't start this morning. So I drove the Lincoln to work. Think it was, I dunno... 20 degrees here in north jersey? With this snow coming and the salt I'll probably have em off the road for the next week or so tho.

  17. No cruising till I get this put back together after some work. The main thing was to change the torque converter but doing some other stuff while I have the chance.

Mine's still kicking, so long as there's not a ton of snow on the ground. Considering I'm in the tuning phase dealing with hammering the throttle and snow/ice is not a good thing!

  23. I've been without a late model since May, 2011. It's either the '37 or the '40. Since May, I've logged over 10,000 in the '37, and I can't tell how many in the '40, mainly due to the fact that it's odometer doesn't work! ;-)

Starting to wonder if "Reno" is an Indian word for fire. Another tragedy in a string of bad luck here. Yeah, a few days of weather now, then it gets relatively nice again for awhile.
The snow in the Sierra looks great, if only we could just keep it there.

So I decided to live dangerously...

If anyone is ever on the fence w Coker over the BFG Silvertowns VS Firestone Deluxe Champions I can say this..

The Firestones suck in the snow. However, the BFGs REALLY suck in the snow ;)

Who knows, it might help someone out haha!
