History who's the guy on the wally trophy?

remember reading who it was , but can't remember where.... for some reason , the name jack comes to mine...but that probably isn't right...anyone know....???? thanks brandon

Supposed to be Wally Parks!

 

I always heard it's supposed to be Wally Parks, but someone else posed for it (maybe Jack Chrisman as suggested).

It was modeled after Top Gas Dragster pilot Jack Jones. Somewhere along the way it morphed in being Wally Parks. Mike

Jack Jones is correct. It's been called the Wally for years but the image hasn't been changed since it's inception.

 

Trophy? haha, sorry couldn't resist.

 

It's cool to see someone earn a "Wally"...really cool when someone in your dinky hometown has a shelf full..
