Who's up for the anti-York weekend boycott bash?

    Hey Gang...

Seems as lots of people are pissed off that the NSRA nats east in York, PA will exclude camping this year. The dates are June 4th, 5th and 6th.

I think it would be cool to have bash the same weekend someplace in MD or PA where everyone could convene, drink beer, camp, and have fun.

I have no experience planning an event like this but I think if there's desire to attend, we can probably get something together if we start planning now.

You all might have some ideas about how to do this on the cheap and make it great but I think it's worth a try since there will be lots of folks looking for a cool alternative to York this year.

Who's interested and who has some ideas about how to do this?

    Stacey

why don't you all come to Norwalk Raceway in Ohio for the Blue Suede Cruise? same weekend. we go and its a good time.
$30 entry includes camping if you want, 2adults/2kids
    1200 cars last year
you get to dragrace your buddies all weekend
except when the exibition Nitro cars are running
has same amount of lame streetrods/musclecars as any show, but its a good time.

I'm in, definitely. I'd be happy to help anyway I can. Do you think it would be better to keep up in York in protest or just take it elsewhere? I could come up with a list of good possible spots local. I could also dust off the phone and maybe get some bands that could play.

Hell, by then I might even have my smoker/bbq set-up on the trailer - added bonus....

I'm literally right next to the Fairgrounds. My house/yard/sofas are fair game for NSRA weekend attendees or former Scotty-town residents. Not exactly 5 star digs (don't expect mints on your pillows), but it's right there and my neighbors have yet to call in the Law when things get unruly. I could probably fit a small herd of Scottys in the yard somewhere if I move cars around. Also, there's a big parking lot across the street and that dude might be cool about camping there if we'd ask ahead of time or slipped him a few bucks. No modern conveniences there, of course, but it's clear pavement and within a block of the NSRA event.
We can sit in the yard drinking and fling dung at NSRA Officials.

Of course I'm in. After all, its my fault about the "No Camping" anyway. I promise I'll bring clean socks this year. Honest. Viva La Scotty-Ville!

    GAWD...

It was just a matter of time before I'd bump into you here Bob!

I'm up for whatever everyone wants to do. I can bring a camper or a tent or just sleep in the leopard velvet luxury of Faye the Chevrolet...

As long as there's beer and bad behavior I'm happy as a clam. [IMG]

  17. Stac...love you! If you're going to jump into this, it'll be a ton of work to be pulled off just right. You have the talent and the talent around you (your Dad, Unc Doug) to do it trick. Location, location, beer, and cool cars. Schedule the weather to be like Scary Larry did(I coped out and I got a closed car, sorry wont happen again) and get Motor Mikey to line up the new honey bunnies (x-chickies and thier moms welcome). Bands? Original Art Posters? Food? If you're gonna do this we are running out of time!!!!
