Ran across this 59 Chevy 4 door today that is a restoration project that ended a couple of years ago. The exact history on it is not real clear but it is for sale as it sits. Has all body work and interior done (nicely done original look) new WW tires, some new chrome, new gas tank, comes with all gl***, stock 235 engine and Powerglide that needs rebuilt, rear bumper, and a bunch of other parts, some new. Looks to be missing front bumper and steering column and steering wheel. Has clear ***le. Asking price is $4000. Has to be considerably cheaper for me to be interested...
That looks to be a very nice car, the kind of thing that wouldn't take all that much money to finish. If you could re-***emble it over a couple months and about a $1000 extra investment I think you'd be doing really well, price seems very fair.
$4 G's would barely get a paint job with jambs and firewall done at the same time. even with a nice body to start with.
If you don't mind four doors that looks like a good deal. Is that a new interior? If the body work and paint is good quality the price is less than what he has in it.
