Recently acquired a complete 72 OIF 650....soooooo....this weekend, it got attacked with a hacksaw....then hardtailed. These bikes are a challenge to make look good...but I like a challenge.
Got some lexan cut for a temporary windshield. Mocked up the rear end.. Played with the front axle... (Hmmmm... if I have it dropped will it narrow it as well? I'd like it to) Started on the motor mounts....
I did a whole bunch of little 5 minute jobs on the Chebby. I took all the heater control cables out, lubed and straightened them so they work and put them back in. Put new rubber bump stops on the trunk...so I won't chip the new paint (again...) I bent my shift lever so it's not so close to the steering wheel, and removed and replaced the steering wheel so it looks like I'm driving straight down the road instead of making a left turn. I also bought a wiper motor so I gotta get that on next. Like I said it's a bunch of little **** but it all adds up and needs to get done. Git R Dun!
I finished ALL the little stuff on my frame - there was a bunch of it to be done. I made headlight stands from an old headlight bar too. Now for some quality time with a DA, wire brush, and wire wheel. Hope to have the ch***is painted by this time next week. We'll see... JH
...... filled the door handel holes with metal, then smoothed em up........ ....... got all my lights in and workin.......... and test fit my spots and peeps........
Did a HAMB relay yesterday--Nashville to Atlanta and back--dropped some stuff there for 4t64rd at his brother's house and picked up a transmission for me Beautiful day for a 500 mile drive, sunny and 60+ degrees..... today not so beautiful(rain), so I was gonna lay around home with the HAMB(damn technical difficulties )....oh well, I'm rested up for next week!
I did some final fab work on the ironhead. Then did the first real work on my RPU. Raked the chopped windsield posts back 12 degrees. Looks much meaner!!!
put together my new Cherry picker, drill a nice 2.5" hole in the back for my gas filler and worked on my floors of the sedan
BenD delivered the pickup that I bought from Weeds. Cleaned it out, tried to fire it, needs a tune I think, got it to burp a couple of times. Now hunting for parts to get her running.
I didn't get anything done BUT, we did pick up all of my freshly painted engine compartment pieces. They are so ***y I can't even stand it! Stacey

Moepower came over on Sunday and he helped me with a bunch of stuff...we dis***embled one of my Hemi's so I can take it to the machine shop...Moved my milling machine into place...Did a little clean-up in the shop and loaded some parts destined for the storage building. Little by little my shop is getting organized (again!).
fixed a boo-boo on my deck lid...THAT I CAUSED!!! now I gotta get it primed and painted and re pinstriped..got plans of puttin' it on display at next months car show here in town...(it seems I had some band gear stacked up next to the car and was getting set to load it into my truck when a heavy gig bag full of gear fell from the top of the stack, smack onto the bottom of the lid!) **** happens, dont it!
...so.................bust me.....fer whut???? I kept the post focused on what I got done this weekend. I seriously dont mean to piss anybody off...but would it make a difference if I said I also designed a dual quad air cleaner housing for my 30 highboy coupe which is about 5 feet away from the car this lid is off of?....huh??? Its kinda like ya telling somebody who looks like they got no money that ya cant work on his car...when, in fact, his other car is a Mercedes or somethin like that. You just never know...Dont be judgin' no books by their covers.
This was a pretty good weekend for work on my 53.. I got all the side window channels (fuzzies) in, along with the vent window weather striping..then made all the side window templates so i can have them made up. Cleaned and painted the rear bumper brackets.. And cleaned all the undercoating out of the left rear inner wheel well so i can paint it up..gotta get the right done now.. Springs coming, and this sum***** is gonna be rollin'! haha Tony.

Saturday was beautiful Wisconsin Roadster weather but my roadster isn't road worthy So a couple of friends invited me to do a Little Cruising...!!! Formation Take Off Trying to keep it tight...!!! And turning out for a landing...! Other than that I didn't do a Damn thing....!!!
got a little bit of everything done, worked on my buddys 31 plymouth steering set up, worked on the chop job any an A tudor, worked a bit on my 34 tudor, and went to a swap meet and bought some toys and ********ted with some hambers, and then i put t new cam lifters t-chain and heads on a 283, then painted up all pretty like. so i got some stuff done.
I've seen what happens when you have food at your place...! Kind of looks like this...! Thanks for the Christmas party...!
My red headed step child left a skateboard in the way of the garage door. When the door came down it put everything in a bind. It pulled itself back up, jumped the tracks and all hell broke loose. I jacked around with it for a long time. I got it back on the tracks but then I realized the cables had also jumped the pulleys. What a pain in the *** and I still have the call somebody to fix it.
Nothing......... Been home sick with the flu...again........ Did not even walk out to the shop and look at them........ .
