Well said... I say build them the way YOU want them... Forget everyone else's opinion... If you asked 100 people the definition of a traditional hot rod, you would get 100 different answers and each of them would think they were right...

I was agreeing with you until you let this lack of intelligence come out of your mouth.

DING DING DING..... I like em and considered going with bags on the A I'm building now, but decided against it. It just didn't "feel" right. I still think their cool though.

    It's outside the box

This is a traditional site, so bags are going to get a little more flammin here.

I agree with Chopperman, on the fact that it's thinking outside the box -which people sometimes put themselves into and can't seem to get out:(

the reason for doing it? maybe something called ... progression (a creative thought process).

Change can be refreshing at times when people aren't afraid to step into the unknown.

plus, anything can look terrible if done without much taste or thought behind it...traditional or not.

but to answer your simple question as for why they do it? I would think, because they want to get their cars lower to the ground while parked and to have them ride smoother while in transit:)

Ya'll crack me up... One minute you are so hard core traditional, everything needs to be such and such way. you sound like a restoration spe******t. The next minute you are *****ing that everything is cookie cutter and no one is doing something different.
WHO CARES if someone has bags on THERE hot rod. It is THERE car. It doesn't affect you.
Build the damn car the way you like it and screw what other people say or think.
When I build something, and I don't get some negative/snive/ignorant remark, then I don't think I built something that I set out to do. Something different. I hate driving into a cruise in or show having something that looks like someone elses. I am an individual with my own tastes. I got a 27 rpu with bags in the back! You got a problem with it??? It also has a 364 nailhead in it, it is a hot rod. I put bags in the back to try something new and different. I know damn well that some of you have made remarks, and looked down at it. And you know what, I couldn't give less of a ****! Some of ya'll look down at other peoples rods like you are so much better than some one else. That annoys me more than anything on this board.

You give a ****... If ya didn't, you wouldn't have posted a reply to this post.

Agree to disagree folks... It's good to have differences out there.
