Why does the HAMB look so small on my screen?

I've never understood this. With IE open to full screen, I have a 2" margin on either side that is gray. Most of the post text is very tiny. Is there a way to adjust the settings to get a better view? I've tried everything. I don't have this problem on other boards. If my eyes were any worse, I couldn't read anything posted.

Using IE:
go to the top left of the screen and click on:
"View"
Roll down to:
"Text size"
and select:
"Largest"

 

Tried it, no difference. Went to smallest and largest and it didn't change anything.

 

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel on it, Hold "Ctrl" on your keyboard and while holding it, scroll down real slow with the wheel on your mouse. It should make everything bigger, if it makes it smaller, scroll the other way. If it doesnt work.......sorry.
