Why did we close the pin up club thread???

Pin ups are appart of the kulture of hot rods, and kustoms, and we dont talk about pinups?
Whats not kool about mixing hot cars, and hot women together???

Pin ups do come up now and again in the photo shots and the Friday Art Show BUT if the shots are to risque, somebody opening at work could get into trouble very innocently. Or some level of unguilt!

1 shot I am with you dude. I'm not a big time pin up person, but hotrods and pins go together as much as tattoos, or refig's, or house, or shops, or dogs, you get what i'm mean.
There should always be a pin up thread active. That does not mean a **** thread. We need to deal with that one by ourselfs,lol.
I do agree since there are wonem and children on here, we need some post monitoring for sure.
To me pin ups and aircraft nose art are the same thing. Are these things as much hottroding as the other non car topics?? Heck yes bud.
If pin ups are to off topic here, then next might be any car of color is'nt acceptable
Maybe even colored cars have to park over there.
Lord forbid if your child dares someone with a car off color,lmao.

The pin-up thread that you're prolly talking about had a pic on it that was a little too over the edge and it set off someone's work's websense system. When he mentioned that, Ryan took what I think is the right step and killed the thread. This stopped the risk of people from loosing access of the HAMB at work due to riske photos that aren't the base reason that the site is here for. If you want to call me a 'follower' for agreeing with Ryan's reasoning go ahead. What he did was for the common good.

Now quit being such a green horn and calling people names. You gotta earn that right around here.

I'm not against art. Hell, I'm collecting real aircraft metal to take to Detroit Autorama for the stripers to paint on, hopefully some will do some real nose art. I'm just saying that the reason was clearly stated why it's not pushed here.

1 shot, you're very quickly loosing friends talking like that. If you keep it up, you might as well go buy a Gremlin, tub it out and start complaining about how you aren't getting you're due respect...

 

The hamb could get one of those fuzzy pixel deals so if you showed a risque pinup we could fuzzy out the offending picture of say a ****** or what other part of art that is collectivly offensive to our traditional tastes.And then we could fuzzy out all the nontraditional offensive car parts.Hell we could probably get a rat pixel fuzzer so no one would ever have to look at one clearly again.

Wow, that sounds like where this thread ended up. I thought it was staying harmless fun. It went to the real ugly side, real quick.

1 shot asked a straight question. He then got several straight answers and then started bashing people and the site. I spelled it out even more clearly and he made a half-***ed attempt to attack one of our more respected female members and then bailed.

Yeah, I see he is/was still online as I type this, but he's given up with his little tirade. And that's probably the smartest thing he could do short of an open apology and a couple days of not even posting.

Trust me, I've been around for a while and know how the m***es are. If you don't give them the respect that they in fact DO deserve, it can get real cold when you need something.
