I'm usually busy in the shop and that leaves little time to post, but here is the latest ride that has been dominating my life since December.

I'm building it for my buddy Don. He's a long time traditional rodder (And a great guy too!), but never had a car created just for him...until now. His '29 features an under-slung chassis constructed of 2x3 and lots of round tubing and is channelled only 3 inches, so he can still be comfortable. Engine is a warmed over SBC with a mild cam, 4 Rocjesters on an Offy intake with a Powerglide trans. Wheels are Radir as are the slicks, while the paint is SEM Candy Apple Mint Green. The attached pics are of the car just before it headed back to the upholstery shop on Friday. (The upholsterer had to do some work before the body was mounted to the frame, that's why you see some stitch work already).

  3. Rich.... nice website, I dig the Holy Heck roadster. I was collecting parts to build something along those lines when I stumbled onto a 34 coupe body so my plans changed a little. I also dig the modified, oh and the sedan....and the roadster. Hell all the stuff you build is bitcen!!!

    Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Apprently the picture files are too large for the board, and if I resize them they get disorted. I'm working on it.

Rich, is the front axle and parts chrome plated or have you found a paint that is very close?

I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on "the still". I told Don (The car owner) that it payed homage to his southern heritage. Me; I have no southern heritage, I'm just a wise ass New Yorker.

wow... what a gorgeous display of talent...

  21. It's in the very early stages but will be 60's drag style..I doubt it will be as detailed as the cars you build, at least not when I first get it running.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Don, who owns the roadster, is very excited about the project.

I've had an almost easy week with the car away at the upholstery shop....so I used the time wisely; I caught two sprint car shows this in the past four days - USAC on the pavement and the World of Outlaws on dirt!

I should get the car back soon, and when it's completed I'll post pics.
