Good grief people! What is the deal with low cars? Why do some of you guys think that low is not "traditional"? My dad has pics of his 55 Chevy in 59 sitting VERY low. Sounds "traditional" to me!
I used to drive my Camaro everyday and the lowest point (headers) was approx 1.5" off the ground! Was it good? No. Was it practical? No. But did it look bitchin? Yes! But I did drive it all the time, (snow and all) with no major problems. You just got to pay attention! Don't drive like a woman and have your head up your ass all the time! It will scrape, and bottom out, but like said before, deal with it. Move the important stuff out of the way and go on. The Camaro is still low, but not that low now and I drive it every chance I get (almost!). You just got to pay attention and know that the bottom is not going to be "show".
Hot Rods are an expression of what YOU want! Not what some other hoser wants! If you don't like it, good! You don't have to pay for it! LOL!

3" and loving every mile. This car is built to drive anywhere. The worst problem that I have had was scrapping leaving a parking lot in Austin.

    Lets drag some metal !

Simple solution, as a builder, let him know the possible pitfalls. If he still decides to go with it, you'll at least be able to have a clear conscience.

Oh, make him sign a waver that he was warned of possible damage to himself and the car.
