I've got a restored fire hydrant too, hope that wasn't the reason for closing it. Bob [IMG]

I too am disappointed, I was really looking forward to seeing how this hot rod was going to turn out. But as mentioned, maybe other reasons.

****, I posted that 3W pic in the wrong thread. My apologies. I hope that's not why the thread got shut down. I want to watch that Buick build.

Ever see that old black and white episode of the the Twilight Zone where the everyone is afraid of the little boy that can read all your thoughts? The kids whole family tip toes around afraid to piss him off and send them into oblivion? Carefull what you say, carefull what you do, you might just disapear!

There has to be some reason none of us know about for it being closed because I just read every line of every post and this thread was about as HAMBworthy as any I have seen. No drama, 100% friendly complimentary conversation, and a traditional build with a Buick nailhead no less. So it certainly wasn't closed due to any issues with the thread itself. Those are the kinds of threads that make the HAMB so popular.

I hope he comes back on and starts the build thread when his knees are feeling up to it, this will be one car worth watching come together. It seems everyone is as anxious to see the car built as I am, and the builder sounds like a hell of a nice guy.

  11. One should not question the Great and Powerful Oz.

I'm sure there was a some good reason for it.

I talked with the OP and he doesn't know why either.

    OT threads are deleted.
    Harrasing ******* matches are closed.
    Traditional builds live forever(I thought)?

Thanks guys. I did not close the thread, and I'm sure they have there reason for it? I have sent a nice PM to Ryan in regards to the closure of the thread. And hopefully he can explain what went wrong with it so it won't happen again. I will start a new build thread in the future when I get more items completed on the buick. so stay tuned....John

Hopefully it will come back or we will be waiting to see when you start a new build on it. I saw nothing wrong with it...

It would be nice if a mod would respond so we can all learn the reason it was closed. If there was ever a thread that p***ed the HAMB sniff test, that one did for sure. It certainly can't be because of the OT car in the background, hell, all of us have shots of our daily drivers and lawn mowers in the background.

Or was someone just too quick with the trigger on this one ?

Possibly one of the moderators got tired of deleting post from the haters and one star boys,,I just don't know.

I read through the entire thread and nothing stands out and strikes me as a justifiable reason to kill the thread,,but I don't make the rules. :rolleyes:HRP

  28. I don't think it would be the three window in the picture .............. but maybe they took offence to the gremlin in the garage behind it lol .......... strange

It may be a reason that's top secret, but some insight on these closings could be helpful, like a note on the last post that says "closed by request of o/p" or "off thread violation"

  29. the car in the background looks to be a 67-69 cuda fastback just sayin

Moderator Kevin is looking into it for me. As for the background pic's I believe that was a roadrunner? I really didn't pay much attention to it, and the fire hydrant year I haven't even a guess. These shots were taken at the place where I purchased the buick from. My litle shop is not even close to this magnitude....John
