The tag will definately be moved to another spot,,you know South Carolina law says ya gotta have a tag light,,,there has never been on on this car. HRP

I have seen headlights done this way before. They are strange but come from a time before there was a good conversion kit. They work this way but look funny. That is really a nice car and I agree with all of your changes, however I would also be proud to drive it with no changes.......Good Luck

There is plenty of room for a tag and a light on the rear of a 32 5W ... ( I know .... Model A shown in photo ;) )

Lots of small tag lights available too ...

    Congratualations.
Tell you a secret, I like coupes more than roadsters anyway.

Nice meating you in Knoxville.New coupe looks great.Too bad you didn't get to drive it to Knoxville.A few changes and the coupe will really look good.Maybe coupes are for chickens but i would rather be be a dry chicken then a wet roadster owner.:D California Kid would have not been the same if the car were a roadster.

All I can say is you got a really nice hotrod there. As to the engine,it will make all you can put on the ground and if that's not enough for you there is a stroker kit (347) makes tons of power and for the really bad*** go with the 351 w motor (bolt in). The car like it is was a great find and you a very lucky guy. Good luck with your personal changes and please keep us informed as to your future progress.

'32 five windows have always been my favorite. I love the uncut ones, with fenders or without. This car is a beauty, and after seeing the work you do, I know it will only get better.

The car drives and handles poorly and probably the reason the owner didn't drive it much.

More often than not,,one thing leads to another and then it's like a stack of dominos standing on end,,,when you start the first one the rest will follow.

I have been doing a lotta thinking about the coupe and spent some time on the phone with Eric Riley using my Hamb Alliance membership to it's best advantage with him,,and abusing my credit card!

I have decided to pull the body and redo the entire frame,,,there is no X-member or K member and no real boxing to speak of.

There will be a new model A front crossmember and a Ch***is Engennering X member,,reversed mono front spring and I'll notch the frame for spring clearence,,4" I-beam axle and vega steering box.

I have also decided I will run a 4-bar,,I know it ain't real traditional but I am building it along the time line when this rod was originally built,,

To add insult to injury,,I'm using a triangle 4 bar in the rear with coil over shocks,,,I used a tradition rear spring under my truck and the ride is not as smooth as I'm looking for in this car.

The sbf is gonna stay,,but I am going to change the rear axle to a narrower maverick or granada.

As for the body,,only change I see in the near future is to dump the rear 2" wider rear fenders and the replacements are now in the garrage.

The coul lights will be history and I have an original insert for the shell and a dropped headlight bar with new headlight update kit from Drakes.

If the wheels will fit under the fenders they will stay,,if not,,I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I will post photos as soon as the work begins.

BTW,,I am definitely gonna do something about that ugly dash and steering column.HRP

Sounds like you have a plan man! That's what it's all about. Maybe get one of those small blowers under the hood there to make that ford go. :)

Eric is SUPER to work with! I've bought a truck load from him. His service & product is top notch.

Can't wait to see the 5wd progress as you move forward.

I'll tell you, a cam swap and some minor port work on the exhaust side will wake that motor up alot!
