why we wear safty glasses

I just had a piece of metal removed from my eye last week from grinding . I did not know it was in there for 2 days and ended up leaving a rust ring around the spot where the metal went in. I had to have the rust DRILLED OUT!!!!! by a eye specialist . I had to take off 2 days this week and 1 day next week for checkups. I had glasses on but guess that was not enough. I now have glasses ,goggles ,and a face shield for all types of work.

I have learned my lesson .
