ARG! I wish I could have california weather without all of that kalifornia to go with it, knowwutimean?
winter **** tell me about it, a storm is coming in tonight and tomorrow, 7 to 12 inch. I hate the cold, I hate the snow. no place to go, I know what I will be doing tomorrow, digging my self out.
Not deep snow around the house but the rainy...........sloppy ...............winters...........they ****...........
We need a tech,on front, and rear firing flamethrowers! Cold Hurts.winter SUX,I wish i was in Cali, but Don't have the Bu**x!Sparky
HATING YOU! GD HIPPY WEATHER! The ol chev barely turns over with the brand new 600CCA battery. My altima almost didn't start this morning. Should have stayed home.
Winter ****s!!,,,,I got holes in my sox, i've broken too many bones when I was a young pup,,,, Plus I don't have a top for the roadster ,,,,,HRP
I have a top......... and I had my 32 Roadster out today...... in the mid 50's........ Gas was $ 2.09 for High Test........and I needed some....so I went out to get lunch in the Deuce. .
i'm gonna go against the grain on this thread and say that as long as the heat in the garage works and the sled (see: snowmobile) is firing on most of its cylinders, i say let it snow, but only for 5 months!
AND I CAN'T GET THE DAMN HEATER IN MY GARAGE WORKING. I almost resorted to firing up my BBQ smoker for heat - Hey its an old pig barn, there's ventilation at the eve of the roof. Wish I could find an old cheap wood stove. I don't mind winter, as long as I can find a heat source indoors. I had a hoot blasting in the snow with my Jeep this morning. Got me to thinking - traditional ice racing? Maybe an event to bide over the winter. Modifieds. Just like a dirt track, only not. I remember seeing some pretty cool old pictures of it.
We still got some ice races up her in Alberta, but not too much trad. **** mostly compacts with studs or 4wd cars.
You guys have to look at the positive side of winter. Sure it's cold, and the wood pile is getting smaller. I got down to about the two foot level of one of mine and found this 1932 Ford Model B oil pan, with an A block under it. It was setup for a dry sump systen in a sprint car at one time. Sandblasted, Glipcoated & painted it will go on my Winfield equiped Banger.
I don't do snow well, guess it's good we don't have too much of it. The cold really works on the arthritic joints and when it gets cold I keep thinking why didn't I patch those holes in the shop while it was warm? You can keep Cali, too many weirdos and funnies.... If I'd known I'd live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself. But it sure was fun gettin" here!!!!!
The past 2 days have been snow days for me. I needed the rest so I'm not *****ing. Mick Think I'll go out and work in the garage for awhile.
That's what I mean - take it back to traditional. I would especially think 4 bangers would have the advantage.
Last night we just had out first snowfall of the season, a whopping 5 inches. It's currently 19 above. I guess this is when I should be gald I can't do anything after surgery... That's what kids are for. My 24 yr old son got to come over and christen our new snowblower. And I still can't work on the coupe! Vance
It ****s because I cant skate any pools, and I cant drive the roadster when its 20 degrees outside. I hate winter..
Just got back from a drive in my pride and joy. Windows were down a bit, heater humming. Toasty inside. With a roadster, one needs at least one more 'rod. Where do I live? Every since I grew up I live where I want to. First couple of years it was kind of where she wanted to, then as I said, I grew up.
my trucks already covered in 5 inches of snow but its not the snow i hate its the cold. Last year we were having record lows.
Yeah,,it ****s pretty bad around here too. I'm gonna hafta wear my shorts & t-shirt tomorrow at the Mooneyes Xmas gig. Man that erks me to no end.
Winters when I get the most work done in my shop. The rest of the year I drive em. Plowed off the pond yesterday, I think tomorrow we will play a little hockey.
