Could be the dumbest question since the last one I asked.......

What is the backspacing of a wide five wheel?
More specifically, they're '35 Ford wheels that a friend of mine wants me to reassemble after plating

Considering wide fives aren't 35 Ford you might have made a good assumption. Its a 4" wheel mounted on center, so the answer would be 2"

    Hero status for you!
    Thank you Dick, much appreciated

  4. The wide 5's used on '37-'39 60 HP cars are 3.5" instead of 4", so the backspace on those would be 1.75".

Any circle track shop can get 15" x 8" with any backspacing you need.
