I want to lose the cragers every once and awhile and add some ww radials with hubcaps, maybe lancers. Seems like I read something on here about diamondback radials. Can'r remember if it was good or bad. Anyone have an opinion on the best place and brand? Thanks.

Your ride looks good with both jimc... I plan on keeping both sets of tires and wheels. I also have a '59 caddy aircleaner I'll paint red and swap also. My son's bulding a '29 closed cab truck and I thought it would be fun to go to some events with him but I wanted a little more nostalgaic look. I would hate to show up at the Road Rocket's Rumble with the cragers and white letters!

  5. I bought my Diamond Backs straight from the source. Payed about $129 each for p75r15's. Gotta have them for the shitty roads around here, bias tires are too rough for these country roads. Get them here: www.widewhitewalltires.com

I think that if you RUN CHROMED SMOOTHIE styled RIMS the WHITE radials will LOOK PERFECT,,, they look funny with PAINTED rims and CAPS

I got em on my 37 and I'm gonna put em on my 50. I've had no problems with em at all.

I have them on my crestliner. They are good tires, although not many miles yet.

I looked around and they seemed like the best deal, I'm glad to hear no problems. I like the idea about chrome smoothies... It made me think about chrome reverse wheels... I think the '55 on American Graffiti had chrome reverse. I was thinking whhelcovers because I saw speedway had a set of Lancer's (I think) for $80.00. I have the original wheels.

I probally need to start a photochop post. Damn some of those guys are good. It amazes me what they can do and how fast they do it.

If you decide on chrome wheels...skip the smoothies and buy the real thing....chrome reverse...they look much better if you want to run without the center caps.

I'd run some Vette rallys on the back with a spinner (8 inch version...)

And up front something a little smaller in chrome...

OF course this is for cheater slicks on the back and skinnys up front but hey! [IMG]
