widening 16" rims

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by paultheblacksmith, Jan 28, 2010.

  1. Well I did it! Finished putting a 2 inch band of steel in my rim. Took the rim and a 225/75/16 good year wrangler to the tire shop and they put it on from the back side. Wow, looks amazing. It holds air. Three more to go. As soon as i find the camera i will post pics. Any input would be great.

That's cool, I did something similar once to put tractor tires on my O/T Bronco for the local mud boggs. Canadian Tire, Kal Tire and OK Tire all refused to mount them, so I did it myself. The truck wasn't even legal for the road, so I didn't really care. What part of Ontario are you from? I am up in Sudbury.
