***Update*** Two very special women at AT&T spent this morning goin' out of their way to make my whole year... A very kool lady in Kentucky heard our story, pulled strings, and connected me with a local contact here in KCMO. This second, wonderful woman, took up her time this morning to work magic and get our original phone number freed up. Thanks to one very very special lady here in KCMO - some things will never change.... 816-LO1-0096 To two ladies down to ride, watching from over at AT&T, we love ya...... -Wild Child <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?ref=ts#%21/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?sk=info" width="292" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
Grim that is proof that you must be doing something right. Best thing I've read today, Lean into it man.
*Random Programming Interruption* -CCCLXV- Stumbled on this shot of my Pop tonight. <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?ref=ts#%21/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?sk=info" width="292" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
It's a sunny 82 in the streets of KCMO. That's T-Shirt weather. Thought I'd try my hand at makin' me a couple shirts. Never done this; we'll see how it continues to go. Trial and Error. Time to fill some pin-holes.. <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?ref=ts#%21/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?sk=info" width="292" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
I'm definitely in for a T-shirt, if you get that far. Size medium? Let me know! Great to catch up to this thread again.
Oh Man! This story is very very cool! Of all the threads I've read, this one literally pulls me in. Obviously the story is amazing, but I think it is your skill as a wordsmith that puts it over the top. You're doing a great thing here.
I'd be interested in a x-large. I had a guy in Lenexa do a small run of custom t-shirts for me last year. Very reasonable and great quality shirts. Let me know if you want his name and number. Maybe he can help restore the screen. Best, BC
Grim Iv been following along loving the stories and the pictures, if you'll ship to the UK I'm in for a shirt Cheers Pete
The night I took off to finish this screen up I had to rush Pops to the Emergency Room again, coughin' up blood. Third time in a few days. It's had me stoppin' a lot, to think, you know? In the rush, I forget about the time; my mind plays tricks on me. In a series of strange turns, I had this recent conversation about everything with an old friend of my family, Wes Grimm. Wes helped me out. Talked to me and helped me to see a lot of things I was fuckin' up on.. Wes taught me a few things about time, help, and about how the world turns - and here you all are when I need ya most.. It's crazy how things work out for timing man... I just want to thank you guys for reachin' out. Your support on this cause, well, you know... It means a lot everybody. I'd be honored to have you all wear our colors. I'll make you a deal friends. I'd be a real low thief if I didn't work it out with Ryan in his own house.... This man, and his hard work and talents, have given me this avenue to tell this story. If I can work it out with the house, and help them to raise some much deserved funds too, I'll send out shirts to anyone who throws in. I'm not sure who to work that out with, so if anyone can help please let me know. I do know Kevin Lee; he's been by the shop. Kevin, if you're seein' this, could I sit down with you and maybe work this out?
I will guys... Thanks. I just told him about all you and the shirts, old man lit up like a Christmas Tree. I like that. Pop's 25 and alive tonight, back in design mode, shufflin' around for old shirts. Thanks again Verbal + Camel.
My dad always told me I'd miss him when he was gone. Boy was he ever right. Don't take anything for granted. Be well.
I would almost guarantee Ryan will do anything he can to help a fellow hot rodder, or anyone else for that matter.
Thanks for all the advice, compliments, and support everyone. This discussion took a turn in a rush with the silk-screen post; just wanted to let those who posted before know I didn't overlook any of your kind words. Thanks friends.. If alls well, I'm gonna test-print a couple shirts this weekend, and try to learn a few things, down at our friend's, Chris & Cristin's, textile company, Owl+Mouse. Should be a real kool time man. Cristin studied Fiber at the Kansas City Art Institute, so I'm lookin' forward to playin' with her. Her reaching out to offer was too kool. Can't say enough about good friends, you know? The West Bottoms - Kansas City, Missouri. ***Chris & Cristin*** <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?ref=ts#%21/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?sk=info" width="292" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
Puttin' pictures on shirts pops this line-illustration I did of my ol' lady once for a gift in my mind. That type of thing could pass for a kool single pass bike print. I'll have to hum on that some man. <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?ref=ts#%21/pages/Wild-Childs/130345530376900?sk=info" width="292" show_faces="false" stream="false" header="true"></fb:like-box>
