Did he make it all the way? I wonder how common it is to lose a front wheel bearing on a cross-country trip. Long trip, hot weather, probably one of the last things most would worry about. I lost one 4/5 of the way home and it cost $400 because of a $300 tow job. Thanks, Kurt

I'll be happy to eat my words! Congratulations! Glad to hear you made it with a minimum of problems (I still wouldn't trust someone else's work enough to go cross country with it). Ahhh, to be young again! That car would have crippled me!

hey, I met ya at bikeweek a few years ago, i was setup pinstriping at Fab Kevins booth......... that truck can spin tires like a madman.. i remember the fire trucks came.... you really lit em up....i remember seeing the grin on indian larrys face too!! it was like 8:30 in the morning!! it he had just got done doing a photoshoot and was pulling wheelies over the bridge.

I just read this thread, congratulations on the success of the voyage man I don't think I'd ever wash that trip off the car for anything, you get some massive headaches from breathing in them exhaust fumes? whats that rig got for seats in it?
