Wife is temporarily in hospital and as I was cutting back roads on the way home I spotted this. Supposedly only 600 or so made. Stopped and chatted with the owner for a bit and found a new freind. He was old time bodyman for thirty + years and now retired. The 30-31 Willys pu was completly restored from a basket case in mid 60's and driven till 87. Developed radiator problems and was put on rails where it now sets. Health and other problems held up work. Health has been fixed and he is soon to restart puttering in shop again. He also showed me shop and another project he's working on. Started working on MGA for a fellow by replacing floor pans and they decided to trick it out a bit. Changing body shape to emulate a Cobra. Definatly will be stopping in to check on progress and BS a bit.
Hell of a find. Don't think I have ever seen one of these before and if I did I don't remember it. I hope you keep an eye on the progress and post some more pictures.
