Here's a couple pics of my garage from last week. I built the Flashback 33 Willys back in 85 and sold her in 93. The new owner is Dave Cobb of Ohio. We freshened up a bullet and was installing it for him. The CC Rider belongs to Dave Lamb. We did some finishing work on this car to bring her back to some past g***er glory. The rest of the iron and plastic is mine. They include the tribute we did to my Dad, Joe Pirrone Jr. Boss Hydro, the K.S. tribute 33 and my Big Time Memories 41 Willys. The steel body hanging on the wall is my Dad's car from 65 which I plan on restoring this year. The gl*** 33 on the pallet racking is slated to be a top chopped 33 Willys AA/FA. Hope you enjoy. Rocky
Thanks Dave, the K.S. tribute car is the one that he raced in 67 and became the first g***er in the 8's (not the one that hit the tree!)
Rocky, What are you trying to do cause people to not be able to breath right and have heart palpitations???? G***er Girl
Rock, this pic reminded meHmmmmm..... I forgot to give you that nice K&G speed shops sign to hang on one of your bare walls.LOL I will have to give you a call and get directions to your shop so I can give it a nice home. Paul
Hi Wanda! I just started posting here, glad to see so many good people on here! Paul, Missed you at the Grove, the K&G sign will have a good home and be displayed proudly! Rocky
Hi Rich, I got that one from Rob Bundy (sp) (he got it from you). If you look close you'll see some gl*** fenders and a hood for the steel 40 that we're doing is from you also. Hows retirement? Rocky
I wouldn't be able to turn sideways in that shop, because of the frontal protrusion from seeing all those wicked Willys ! I realize you have grown up around that stuff but for a guy that hasn't sashwing...lol
Thanks everyone! Royal Shifter, I love your Willys build, really enjoyed the pics. I'm planning on posting some of the K.S. build when I get the chance. Yorgatron, The Boss Hydro is tribute/recreation of my Dad's car from 1966. At the the time he owned a shop called Boss Hydro and he had quite a few NHRA record holders using his four speed hydro. He later went on to do a lot of development on the Torque Flite transmissions. I still run a transmission shop, but most of the stuff we build are heavy duty transmissions and p***enger car trans. I still do a lot of race work, but haven't seen a dual range hydra-matic in a lot of years. outlaw256, I'll postsome more pics of the shop when I get the chance, it has a full bath, full kitchen and full living quarters, this isn't for "if" the wife throws me out, its for "when"...lol Till then, I'm sure we can make room for you! Weasel, The only fords we work on are of the 1940 variety, and even then they have to be caddy powered..... We do use Ford trucks to haul our stuff if that counts?...lol
Someone call an ambulance!!!My heart just stopped!!! Hucking fell man.I've never seen so many awesome cars in one garage before!!! You got real taste!!
Hey Rocky, Does the clocks in the EC have more hours than us on the WC? I can't seem to get one car done and you're cranking away... Keep up the good work and inspiration! Vic "Bad News"
What about the ElCamino and matching trailer? I saw that rig in Thompson a couple years ago, real nice, both of 'em.
Wow great collection Rocky. A friend of mine Randy Ferguson specializes in Willy's sheet metal and restoration of Willy's.The guy is amazing, here is a front end he shaped. Here's a link to his website http://fergusoncoachbuilding.com/
put some redlines on the trailor/ tow vehicle, remove the **** in the background and you would be hard pressed to tell if that shot was taken @69..
MERCY. What is it about giant motors, candy paint and polished magnesium wheels? Please Lord, don't take them away...Rocky, put in a good word with 'im would ya?
