Not all the Willys had Hemis or SBCs. Ed Binggeli's F/Gas '41 was motivated by one of his wonderful 286-cid carbureted flatheads. Essentially unbeatable in its cl*** in the late '50s, early '60s, it would work its way up through the Little Eliminatore ranks on Sunday afternoons. Racing heads-up against other gas-cl*** winners, it was common for the little yellow car to knock off E, D, and C cl*** g***ers. On occasion the top dog in B/Gas would find himself in the losing lane. Here's a scan of a picture in a HRM feature on the car in Novemeber 1962.
