I am building a 39 willys 2 dr sedan for my wife. Normal stuff, hemi motor and very low. My problems are with the front set of bucket seats. I have power seats up front. But still do not have enough movement in them for my wide body to get in the back seat. (if your not a small child forget it) THe original seats used some sort of pivot. Can any of you fellow HAMBer 's show meet what you have done. Thanks Mopar'd
in friend of mines Malibu 2door we used the electric seat brackets out of my 83 station wagon (it was split bench) for his drivers side seat, it was a bucket out of late 80s cavalier. for the passenger side we modified the sliding bracket out of a ford ranger, they have the two handles one for the seat adjustment and one to slide the seat forward so people could ride in the back. a word of advice mock every thing up fist and check, don't assume you friends did or it will end up cut apart a few times. I hope this helps.
Jeep Wrangler TJ ('97 thru mid 2000's) have a neat articulating seat track on the pass side that moves the seat forward and upward to allow rear seat ingress/egress as well as normal slide adjustment for passenger leg room. It is not a power unit. Perhaps it could be adapted in some fashion to power, or maybe the right side being power wouldn't be as important as the seat articulation. But you might check it out and see if you think it has any potential to solve your problem. Ray
