I have purchased a new set of heads from H&H having trouble finding a spark plug to fit the depth and seat. 1. Heads have no taper. 2. Heads are machined for a 5/8" socket only ( 13/16" won't fit) that leaves out many plugs. Thread is 14 mm The Champion plug rc12yc and the Autolite 39 series are 3/4" reach and that extends into the chamber (way to long) so they are out. The Autolite AR133 racing plug has a tapered seat, we all know that you must not use a tapered seat plug on a flat surface the heat transfer will not work. So what plug are you using with your Wilson and Woods Heads?
I am running Motorcraft AL7C in my Wilson Woods (set #11) I have put 3,500 miles on this year with zero issues. Hey Thanks for the info They really are great looking heads for a flattie, I'm having a tapered seat machined into this set for drag racing along with machining the valve area for my high lift cam so the my plugs will finish flush with the inside and the taper will dissipate the heat, can't wait to get them to the track!
