Win some cookies!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hotrodladycrusr, Dec 24, 2009.

  1. Denise ... Just an FYI ... FNG HAMBer SamIAm hasn't posted on the HAMB since August 2004 ... it was actually Old School HAMBer SamIyam (Sam Strube) that guessed 497.

If Sam doesn't PM you soon, just send the box of cookies to me ... I live close to Sam ... and promise to deliver the two cookies to him! ;) :D

You are right sweetheart, it's Sam in CA that won. I'm sure I have his address around here somewhere but thanks for the offer of delivery.;)

Ah, the old clear tube trick. Should have known. Pulled that one a few times myself. Sounds like the cookies are coming to way anyway. Maybe SamIyam will be willing to share (not that I would if I were him).

    I want a recount!:mad::p:D

  5. You gotta be shittin' me!

    Woohoo!!

I guessed 497 off the top of my head... then I though "She probably put (Olds) 455 in there!" I then went back and read where you said that someone had guessed one away already... I went back through all the posts AGAIN, expecting to see 456... and came across someone who had guessed 498 and figured I'd better just leave my first choice!

    Hehehehe!!

  6. Oh yea... and how did I get the correct number?

I counted 20 M&M's high, multiplied that by 25 M&M's (which is the number that fits into a GM washer bottle cap... I happen to own one, duh) came up with 500. I then subtracted THREE M&M's (because there were three people, and you know damn well they couldn't resist eating just ONE!) and got 497!

    Hahahahaha!!

As far as sharing goes? Stop on by this Saturday... and you can have some if there are any left!

Sam, they left today, will be at your place by 3pm tomorrow......don't eat the bread. In fact, take out teh old slices and replace with fresh slices tomorrow, then every couple of days after that. If they last that long.:D

    Enjoy bud!

I've got another cookie contest for mid-May lined up. Stay tuned;)

  8. Are you sure there weren't any hanging chads? Was the count done in Detroit or Florida!

  9. Sam your Ciphering is pure genius

There is no way I can wait that long! Without cookies, how will I keep up my sweet disposition?

My guess for mid-May's contest is 382

Normally I don't post here anymore, but I just wanted to mention something about that mixer. They're fantastic. I picked up a brand new, unopened box, MATTE BLACK, Kitchen-Aid Heavy Duty Plus for $100 about 3 years ago. How, you ask? Craigslist. I got lucky that day because apparently the seller had just gotten married and received two of these as wedding gifts, so I managed to snag one. Check your Craigslist for these things. Denise has it right. After one use, I wondered why I never got one years ago. Cookies and cakes are common in my house thanks to my boys being in school. I make my own bread too.

And yes I've snagged a couple of Denise's cookies and they're great!

But again, the person with the deep pockets wins the cookies. Which I don't have an issue with cuz all my cookie auctions have gone to help support the HAMB BUT every once in a while I want to do something were every person has an equal chance of winning with no money involved.

Perhaps I should just start selling them in the HAMB-o-Dex. :D

Ha, my cookie post brought you outta the closet.:p
    Thanks for the kudos bud!

In Livonia, at my kitchen table by one HAMB guy and his backup.....needed those extra fingers and toes. :D

If that is going to be your guess you're going to be a loser.....it's not even in the right "format".:D
