I soldered a fitting closed then drilled it to .060". Flathead Fords and others came from the factory with the fitting made that way.
I picked up a 261 today and I am curious if the same applies from the 235 oil restrictor. I am TERRIFIED to install any sort of filter at this point.
Yes, same restrictor for the filter. To avoid any nasty surprises, simply have an oil pressure gauge hooked up (you can see where the previous nylon line is attached) and you'll know if all is well. Never start an engine without some oil pressure indicator.
