Window Motor

Does anyone know if the window motor off of a 62 ford country sedan rear window would work on the rear door window of a 62 galaxie? Thanks<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

 

Are you talking tailgate door window or p***enger door window? The p***enger door window motors interchange obviuosly. The rear gate window motor may be unique. However I do know that in this vintage the motors are discrete units that attach using a drive coupler to the regulator so they might be the same.

 

the tailgate has a different number of teeth in the drive gear. they interchange. but the gear is most likely your problem with the door motor. if you have it out of the car take the 3 screws out of the plate that retains the gear. dig out all the broken **** and try the motor.
if the gear is good put it in the tailgate motor and try it.
