What's the correct name for the outer piece of metal that is spot welded inside the door on my 41 Ford COE and forms the channel that the window rides up and down in? (the part with RIGHT written on it) Anyone got a source for them? thanks! Rick.

I would consider that to be a "window run channel".

Or at least it was at one time...

I don't think that's the run channel, it's the bigger piece that sort of supports the run channel. Wonder if Van Pelt Sales web page has an original Ford catalog page that shows it?

does that window crank back first, then crank down? so it has a vent opening?
i have made them on my sheet metal brake when needed then glue the "fuzzy" material to it. i have been trying to remember where i bought the "fuzzy" stuff.

No vent window in my doors and the glass goes straight down. I have Wescott's window kit already that includes the fuzzy stuff and the metal channel that's inside the one with "Right" written on it. It's the "Right" piece that I need. Otherwise, I'll need to repair or make/replace this one, but I have trouble making bends on my brake when they are that close together. Prolly operator error...
