Technical Window regulator

I have a 56 88 2 door sedan that needs a left front regulator... Would any of the other gm cars this year or close fit this car of mine

looks like Olds/Buick Special 54-56....sometimes the riveted in gear set can be removed from a four and put back in....seems that gear set is all that wears out along with the shaft teeth...

 

A quick fix, swap the gear for rear 1/4 winder & make a pattern for teeth on arm. MIG weld the teeth & file to shape. You might want to heat treat them for piece of mind?
