I know I'm a FNG on this forum but I have a question anyway. There 's so much information here , it's unreal. I'm working on a '48 Plymouth coupe. It's not chopped or channeled or much else-just gonna be a nice cruiser. So don't get mad and tell me to shove off. It's got a nice V8 -a mopar and a 5 speed trans. Blah Blah blah. I've done the work myself and its taken forever.More blah blah blah. My question is what to use for the windshield washer bottle. Open for suggestions but don't want to use something from another car. Been there done that. The radiator catch bottle , for example, is a recycled propane bottle from a small camper stove. So I'm looking for something cool but not recycled automotive. Yah dig?
How about getting a vintage Trico unit or maybe even just a vintage Plymouth unit? Check ebay, I'm sure there is something on there.
That'd actualy work. Lol ... You could use one of those aluminium water bottles. My 60 Pontiac had a realy cool glass one.
If I find the right one from automotive stuff ,it would be good. But still would be nice to find something that looks neat too. My heater hose lines are electical conduit, the radiator hoses are pieces of steel exhaust tubing, etc. Not trying to show off my talents just want something different. Anybody can get something from another car to work. I'm not building a show car with wild ideas ---just a cruiser that when and if it gets showed , somebody will say " Now why didn't I think of that?" or" holy sh-- I can beleive I just saw that" and will come back for a second look. All of this stuff is because I is poor and can't afford to spend on stuff that I can make or reuse.
Why not use a NalGene bottle? They come in polished aluminum and even purty colors of anodize, even black. Go to an outdoors joint and check them out.
