    Hello again....
Well, I am looking at a 1961 Mercury Meteor 2-door post to buy.....and it has a crack in the windshield. The '61 is a Galaxie-based car, not the fairlane-based unit started in 1962....this is the only thing holding me up from expressing any further interest in it...

Anyone have any suggestions about where to find or make a replacement? Will a Galaxie windshield fit?

Thanks for any assistance you might be able to give...

You need to find a GOOD glass shop and ask them to look it up NEW !!

My Ex bought a '61 Meteor 800 a couple years ago & the guy she got it from had a BRAND NEW windshield & rubber installed in it before we picked it up from Arizona.

Guy said the Glass came from Souther Calif so i know they are available New.

  4. 61-62 and maybe 60 windshields should interchange on like body styles - IE sedan/wagon use one, hardtop/convertible the other, for all full size Fords/Mercs. It shouldn't be a hard piece to find.
