    FINALLY!
I drove my 53 for the first time today, legally at least.

Yesterday morning my pop's went to the DMV for me while i was working to get the papers all squared away..plate's and ins...
    Then,

Got out of work at 12:00 today, came home to meet the guy who cut my windshield... and help him install it...
One windshield, first cut, first install...no breakage!
This guy is GREAT with glass to say the least!
    Couldn't be happier..

Then cleaned up and headed to a local cruise night.. They shut down main street and have a pretty big gathering..By the time i got there the place was already full with basically nowhere to park on main, but i could care less..it was the drive i was after!
I only hung around there for a little while, then had to cruise around again..

    About 40 mile's total...Yeah i know, not much, but it's a start :D.
Only problem i had was before i even left the house, my heater core was leaking, so i looped the hoses and off i went.

I had to take a pic of the 'view' with my cell cam, rollin' along around 60 or so...man i'm stoked!
I'm looking directly at the steering wheel! Hahaha

Sorry for the nonsence post...i'm just excited i guess..

I was there and can tell everyone that Tony's car was a major hit for sure. Although the show is not supposed to start until 5:00, the main street is full on both sides by 3:30. So we, as well as Tony, were on the far side of the far side. Or as my Aussie friends say, we were somewhere out beyond the black stump. I have no idea what that means other than guessing it means we were not close to the action. Not that that really matters.

However, we were closer than Tony, so as soon as we saw him walking by, we asked him to move on up acrosss from us (as a car had just vacated the spot). Tony did, and the crowds began to gather. It was fun watching the people's reactions. Everyone loved the car and said so time and time again. For a first time cusom build, the car is perfect. However, the door gremlins did strike and Tony had to drag out his screwdriver for a little latch adjustment. Fortunately, no hammer was in site as Tony was getting a little vexed by the latch which was not cooperating at all.

Great job Tony. Glad to see it on the road. There's nothing like the first time, is there?

    Hahaha,
I stopped over a freinds house when i left the 'show' and the damn latch acted up again...a quick adjustment and it worked..
It's really funny how all of a sudden it's playing games with me.
No big deal though, it seems to be working now....and it did't open on me on the way home, what more could i ask for :D.

    Thanks John, and everyone else.

Moondisc, i think it sounds really cool. I've never had an inline before.
My buddy was following me back to town and once the road turned two lane's, he pulled up along side me and was telling me it sounded like a sworm of bee's..LOL
The coolest thing is winding it up in first then letting off the gas, man this thing RAPS like mad...:D

And i'll take a pic with the glass in it in a little while..

The mill is painted body color, but ya can't really see it too well in this pic.
I need to get the 'good' valve cover on it yet.....and don't have the scratch right now.....
    Hopefully soon though.
I gotta sell off a few thing's to get some cash again.

The one thats on it now is all striped up, so i want to hang that on the wall.

Congrats on rolling legal Tony. The car looks freaking great, and brings the quality of the type of cars we all dig to a level they should be.
