At some point in my cars life, the wipers scratched the windshield (1962 Plymouth). And yes I can feel it with my finger nail...is the anyway without replacing the WS to improve the glass ????
You are connected to the internet...right ? A 2 second Google search pulled up a wealth of information and products ! In my youth, I worked for an auto glass installation shop. If a scratch will stop your fingernail, it won't be a removable scratch. OR...at least without digging into the glass surface so far that it will make the glass wavy, and difficult to see out of without giving you an upset stomach ! But normally, it will make the affected area a bit cleaner to see out of, by removing all of the lighter scratches, while leaving the larger scratches there. https://www.google.com/search?q=win...AAeACAAViIAfULkgECMjSYAQCgAQE&sclient=gws-wiz Mike
Short of grinding the scratch out with cerium oxide, which will cause some distortion, the best you'll do is to polish the scratch so it's not so noticeable. I've been using Spot-x for years in another hobby that sometimes requires polishing. I usually use a white scotch pad and polish by hand, but sometimes stick a pad on a buffer. The ingredients...powdered oyster shell. Good luck!
