Took apart the wiper motor in my '54 Mainline to try to get it working but after cleaning it up oiling it up and replacing the gasket seal it still does not work.
So I have 2 questions of anyone having any similar experiences.
    1. I did not take it out on the road after I "fixed" it so is it possible by just idling it in the driveway it does not build up enough vacuum to operate?
    2. If it still don't work "on the road" and to keep it as a 6volt system, has anyone tried switching to an electric wiper motor and putting an inverter ahead of the new electric motor to step up the voltage 6 to 12?

@Mart some time back did a tread/YouTube video on how he repaired his 40 pickup using a unit near to what the truck had. He’s in your part of the world. Hopefully he’ll crime in.
