Winfield cam Degrees?

    Hy

    i have a old org. Flathead 59Ab Winfiel cam and dont know the Degree!
    theres is only a number of the cam.
    Enybody have a Link or Documents for looking is this a Race or a Street Cam!?
    I see the Valves is open longer with this cam!

    Its marked with 5-T

    I need to drive this Cam in a Full Port Engine, .030 Oversize Pistens, facilitated Org.Crank, Schiefer Flywheel, Offenhauser High Compression Heads and 3x2 Offenhauser Manifold with 3 Holley 94 8ba Carbs!

    Street Engine!!!

    .030 over ....WOW That is big!!!

    5-T is a stock cam stamping.

    Why don`t you just measure the cam?

    The cam is stampet with Winfield R and 5-T
    its a old Handmade Cam. Verry good Job. you can run this Cam only with adjustable lifters!
    The cam is in my Garage 1 hour from my home and 3 Hours from ouer buisness rooms! thats the problem.
    i dont need to drill this engine to the last over size. i still have some oversize pistons but the block is verry good and Flattys in Germany verry verry rare and verry expensive!!!

  8. Marco, with a degree wheel and a dial indicator, magnetic base some extensions and tips, you can answer all your own questions. The procedure is called " plotting the cam " , do a google search. By plotting the cam, you will build a grid, that plotts all of the opening and closing " events ", the duration, lift, centerline, and lobe seperation. It will be the same as or better than a cam card. I used to teach this class, its very interesting, and not that hard to do. :D
