With that said I like winter, the cold and the snow I can deal with it... what I can't deal with is R U S T, I think we all like cars here and you all understand what I mean I'd love to buy another old car or truck to drive while I'm working on my truck but I'm not driving it in the snow. The snow really isn't even the problem what is is whatever you want to call that stuff they put on the road. My truck is 70 years old and has seen 30 years of snow and ice and it isn't half as rusty ad most things that are only 10 years old now. What do you guys do to deal with road salt in the winter?
A few weeks ago we were crying about multiple 100 plus degree days. Won't be long we will be crying again, Damn PNW can be WET.
I'm a old Southern boy and dislike winter, snow & ice but it's a fact of life. I need to get off my lazy **** and install that heater in my old beater. HRP
In Maryland, they soak the roads with a liquid salt solution- before it starts to snow. Every late model pickup, except the aluminum Fords, has rust in the cab corners and fender wells. My old cars don't venture out until we get a hard rain in the spring. Meanwhile, the water in some drinking water wells shows an alarming rise in sodium. We need a different approach.
Cooler weather can't get here fast enough. Approaching 95 here today...not sure what the Humidity Index is today.....it's not terrible but a cool breeze would be welcomed!
Winter may be on it's way but today was just fine for a ride in the coupe so I visited my cousins dog! Is he a HAM or what?
Heres my Sunny Girl at 13 years old.Kinda dumb but very loyal she loves riding with me to the dump..LOL.Bruce.
They salt the roads in southwest MO. also. Rust is a way of life on old car projects down here, short winters so short salt time as well, not as bad as some more northern climates. I guess my parts car spent some time up there.
You are right that stuff is like a past on your trucks and cars very hard to get off even if your car is waxed real good. I hand was my daily drivers but in the winter i take through the car wash to get the under parts.
We're supposed to be getting snow today, haven't yet but we'll see, guess it's officially unofficially winter Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
