Al. I pasted on the wagon when the guy want to take his rims and wide tires off and switch them with me.Bruce.
Wow Doug! You must be really bored!! Doug, We went to Dave J's 80th birthday party Sunday. Good turnout. They indeed surprised him, enough to get him choked up a bit anyway! Hope I'm doing half as well as him at 80. Today would have been my Dad's birthday, he would have been 86. Been gone 14 years. Dave.
Was in the teens last night, upper 40's today. Worked outside most of the day on the kid's dirt oval race truck. Changing out the bent up old frame and updating things for 2018 season. Been driving the old cars nearly every day, including the '53 Merc I bought last week. We had Snow on November 9th and that has been it for the year. 35-40 miles away there has been snow but not for us. Kid is chaining up his Semi going both ways over the mountain passes although there is not as much snow as one would like in the mountains either. Soon maybe. Dave
Dave, I read it somewhere that on both winter and summer solstice it works. SO I had to try it, doesn't take much to amuse me. 80 years old isn't that old anymore, we are getting closer all the time. I will have to rattle David J's cage about it. It's probably been close to 20 years ago I met him and Pat at Hershey. We enjoy spending time with them.
I was working over night and the Highways boys came through the plant with the salt truck. Wondered why I heard another 10 minutes later. While backing up the first one cut the corner too tight and buried one side in the lawn. Had to be pulled out by another. Huge "ditch" to fix for the water garage boys next week. People dont realize that some are still working while they sleep and or party. I am not whining..its 2x +1/2 on holidays. Remember the police and military this Christmas while you are all warm and fuzzy by the heater this weekend please!!!
Well I am ready for more snow to fall. After a couple of years of working on my clip on fenders,I have finally got these finished and am ready to rock and roll.Cant take all the credit as I just made the brackets and a buddy did the aluminum work.Studded snow tires make a huge difference and now I have a Rod I can enjoy year round. Cheers and Merry Xmas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my H.A.M.E.R friends on the board, from the Smoky Mountians of East T.N.!!!Bruce &Teresa.
Thank you Bruce!!! We got a bunch of snow coming down in Motown.... Looks like we'll have a white Christmas this year... I'm also tracking Santa's Sleigh on live radar... Merry Christmas!
And so this is Christmas ........... With a fresh 8 to 10.... dig the little Xmas tree forming on the rear tire... . we musta got 12" to 14" ... bad knee hates it... that thing out front is a 1 liter soda bottle dropped onto a ford 9" axle...
Think its tough getting to your Christmas dinner ? ... Check out the gold finches, crawling into the feeder to get out of the snow... just his tail sticking out of the bottom feeder... Yes those are mini propane bottles from my portable grill... The cut and suspended 3 liter soda bottle does keep the squirrels from getting past it... .
Here is a Merry Christmas wish in honor of my favorite Canadian! BTW, did you know the real Red Green (Steve Smith) was born December 24th, 1945? Yep, Dave
