hello and welcome to the hamb. ford looks good so far, looks like a nice solid body. if you want some taillight ideas search the thread "hamb shoebox club" plenty of cool shoeboxes to give you some inspiration. nice trucks too but do yourself a favor and just work on one at a time or else you'll have a little of everything and alot of nothing. especially on a students budget. also check out the discussion forum on shoeboxford.com. plenty of great advice and parts there. good luck

cool projects.... i agree with caphockey3 focusing on one project is key. i have a real hard time doing this but i finally just had to put my 50 first and put all the others on the back burner....i'll be happier with the fifty when its all done than i will be with some of the other projects that i have. not driving somthing bugs the hell outta all of us....trust me i have 6 cars and i drive my motorcycle?! but regardless your stuff looks pretty rad keep up the good work and keep posting some updates

and today i worked on shaving the trunklid on the 51 car

dont mind the stuff on the filler plate, its a scrap pieces i picked up and was used to spray on so i cleaned up the backsides and the edges, and used some weld threw primer and got it all welded down, and then i used a hole punch to make little fillers for the holes on the trunklid and then welded them in place, tomarow i should be finished up with the trunk and hopefuly ready for primer

i got an est for soda blasting the body of the car and once i get my tax return money, and my student loan money im going to soda blast the body of the car, and then do new floors, and also sandblast the frame of the car dress the frame up, and then try to find some mustang 2 parts for the front, and what i need to do for the rearend setup

ok, trunk lid is about finished, just need to do a final sand of the skim coat then flip it over and clean up the backside, and i just strted shaving my fuel filler door yesterday, i think im going to hold off on soda blasting, so i can get the frame of the car finished.

I would like to hold off on this car and finish one of the trucks but i just dont think that will happen at this time so i just need to keep worken on this until its finished then start the truck projects

Well it has been a while before i have posted any pictures of my progress on my 51 Ford
Today i got my frame, wheels, and rear end back from the sand blaster

and I am in the process of sanding down my body and shaving everything i got the trunk lid and the gas door

and i recently attempted to remove all the nasty tar they used to coat the trunk, i got as much off as possable and i did a metal treatment on the bare metal and then i used paintable undercoat and coated as much as i could
    [IMG]
Within the next week i want to get most of the dents and dings fixed on the body, also i need to get the door hinge fixed on the drivers door because it sags becuase the pin is shot so i need to get that taken care of then make sure the body is streight, repair the rockers and then its time to primer the entire body

for the frame i ordered my 4 link today and i need to weld that in, and get a total for my front end parts, then soon, i have to get my bag mounts and all my bag parts, then the frame is finished i havent been on in a while and i just wanted to give a quick update on the progress of the car
