mildsteel pretty sure its .118 nhra regs but im only going to run 1/8th mile at winterport dragway(outlaw) oxford (outlaw) and new england (nhra 10.00 or slower or 1/8th ) i have a 355 that ran 12.62 in the 1/4 in a 3060 car . so it should be a blast .The wb is 108 . heading to daves in 2 weeks to finish the ch***is(head bars , front axle ect) i can not wait :)

Measure the tubing!!!!! most mild steel tubing although called .120 wall really measures around .114 well below the .118 standard and is why most mild steel door cars run .134 wall tubing. Outlaw tracks and above 10sec will let you run, but go quicker than 10,run a blower, non outlaw track and you will have to meet cert.

What did you use as a guideline for the ch***is? did you have prints or did you just use the rulebook?

SwampDonkey, Yes...We are all ready to run. It should be quite a season...4 races at NED. I plan on going to Winterport for the July and August race. September there is a race in Orange, MA. Any new/old cars being built up in Maine, besides you dragster?

ok so we got the roll cage all tacked up and the pedals made , seat and the aluminum is ordered for the body ,dave also hooked me up with a nice sp steering box, also we are going to add 18 inches of wheelbase . because i think it will look to short compared to the body , so the wb will end up being around 126'' or so pics to come soon :)
