The wire that moves the wipers on my 52 Packard broke..... I wanted to asked what type of wire is a good replacement ..... I meant as well fix them both whole I have it apart... plus where could I pick some up ?
You are talking about the cable? they are cable wipers with va***m motor right? There is probably an exact replacment cable for your wipers at an online packard catalog store. Or if you can't find anything you may try going to a good hardware store with a piece of th cable in hand and buying a piece of the same size cable.
Biggest problem with building a cable is getting ends that work and stay on! If they aren't properly swaged they wont hold very long. Ask me how I know!
