These are on my 32 Stude President....original 40 spoke (very rare) Kelsey Hayes 18"/4 1/2" 5 on 6" bolt pattern...running 750/18 Lester 5" WW's....in my opinion anything else would ruin the car....

Don't weld the spokes, thats not how a wire wheel works. Give me a call at 559-322-2128, I can fix them for you. The powdercoating does not need to be removed.
    Thanks

  6. Alright Larry, it's taken some time to find these, but I can FINALLY share!

These are GM 21 inch wires from the mid-late 20's and are rare as hen's teeth. I've been looking for a set for years, and these popped up on Espay with no bidders, so now they are safe in my grubby little mitts :D!!!

how about some painted w/trim rings. Cost too much to restore and thought this look fit the car anyway.

Been spending the past couple weeks going through old customs threads . . . this one caught my eye . . . and as Wolfgang the German soldier would say . . . "verrrry interesting" that a wire wheel thread would be all about hot rods, and not customs.

After going through this thread, in fact, one might be led to conclude that this is one of the distinquishing features that sets a hot rod apart from a custom. This is problematic, of course, due to the fact that there are so many beautiful customs with wires.

Still, verrrry interesting that the customs guys (with one or two exceptions) have passed by this thread for 3 years and said "Nah, nothing for me there."

Edit: OK, the thread being in "Traditional Hot Rods" should have been my first clue. My bad. I just stay in "General Discussion" and usually do not even notice which forum the threads are from.

  21. Now with wire wheels.jpg Here is my 56 with some older Cragar wires on it. Probably not the best wheels for this car but I got a killer deal on them and I wanted the chrome smoothies that was on it for another car I have I am working on.
