    hey guys,

another question that could probably just be solved with a picture but oh well.

on the ford i just bought the gen needs put back on and i noticed that there arent any wires running from the back of the gen anymore just the connectors were they go.

i know i asked this question a couple years back and got a replie but ive lost the info and cant seem to search back that far so i thought id just ask again.

i just need to know what post on the generator goes were. and in the case of going to the voltage regulator which terminal does it go to?

    thanx guys

I'd modify that very slightly by running the G wire straight to the baseplate of the reg, and thence to another wire to the battery ground. The ground from gen case on engine to body is likely to have resistance from paint, rust, crud, etc., and then the gnerator has to run harder to bring voltage up to the regulated level. Ford made this mod about 1941 because of problems with the excessively informal ground path.
