This may be a stupid question, but electrical is not my strong suit... I'm trying to complete a circuit without using the front turn signal sockets. Is there a connector or a way to bridge the circuit without the socket? Like a temporary connector? History- In order for my brake lights and rear turn signals to work, the front lights must be wired as well. I just removed my front bumper to have it plated, therefore there is no bracket to mount the front lights temporarily. I need to drive the car about 50 miles and need brake lights. Is there an easy solution to this? Thanks!
It's possible that you need the front turn signal bulbs in the circuit, to make the rear turn signals blink. Since you don't have front turn signals, I doubt it's going to be much of a problem, not having rear turn signals. Like he said, the front has nothing to do with the brake lights working.
I'd like to see how this is wired, because that shouldn't be true. But,****uming it is, how about just zip tying the front signals to something nearby and calling it good enough? Or make a couple of temporary brackets that fit on the bumper mounting points to hold them?
I am guessing that your turn signals do not blink........that is due to a low load without the front lights......quick fix, slap in an electronic flasher that does not use load...........
