My project car is a 1963 Ford Fairlane Wagon. As with most old cars, the wiring isn't exactly in pristine condition. So as one of the first steps to making the car reliable, I intend on rewiring the entire system. I've been researching companies, such as Painless and E-Z Wiring, that specialize in prefabricated wire looms. Problem being, none of the companies offer a wire loom specifically for a 1963 Ford Wagon. Therefore several questions come to mind. Such as, whats the difference between the way Fords wiring schematics are setup versus that of GM? I'm on a strict budget, considering I'm only 20 years old, so I need to humor every possibility to fix my electrical problems. More to the point, i need to know if its possible to use the 21-circuit wiring harness from EZ Wiring on my Ford even though its a GM styled harness. Also, if anyone could inform me of the differences between Fords wiring and GMs wiring. Thanks again, Dave.
