I need to rewire my 1955 fleetwood. What company offers original wiring kits at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance, George.

Sorry, but we do not build original or OE type harnesses, only universal harnesses.

Unless you're goin' to sorta restore your car, an aftermarket kit isn't that hard and offers some major improvements. I installed a EZ 12 circuit kit in my Galaxie, it was, well, easy. Well marked, good quality wire, nice fuse box, just all in all, a very nice harness. It was in the $150 range IIRC. Plus with the aftermarket style harnesses, you have all sorts of options for wiring aftermarket/non-stock parts in a much more factory style, neat way (they have all sorts of circuits for aftermarket gear like fans, electric pumps, etc., and of course they can be used for other things. I used the high-current circuit for the electric fan to power my little stereo amp, I love that I didn't have to do a "typical" amp wiring setup).

I've also heard good things about the Rebel harnesses. Had I been a member of HAMB before I bought my EZ kit, I probably would have gone for the Rebel kit, I like to reward companies that are part of the HAMB community with my business, I'll likely use one of their harnesses in my Model A. Dont get me wrong though, the EZ kit was an excellent item for the price and I couldn't be happier.

You're not going to find "original + cheap" anywhere.
Just be glad someone makes an original harness you can even buy!
I'd go with Narragasset Wiring in Rhode Island, if they make one for your car.
Price out how much cloth covered wire and the original type terminals cost, and then add your time to build one yourself.
