Hi guys just a quick question with wiring these headlights up ,they need globes and not sure where the positive wire goes … Thanks for your help.
You mean second photo . That means all three screws have power, High beam, Low beam and the lower third one for parking light or indicator. Just to be sure you can also check that all three screws make no contact with the inner shell and are isolated by that round brown insulating plate. So the silver fitting with the two pins that the bulb fits into must make contact with the inner reflective shell.
That diagram is for a sealed beam with plug in socket. Not sure I'd trust the OP's setup is the same. Using a pair of jumper wires with alligator clips clip ground from negative battery post to the shell of the headlamp housing. Then use the other jumper from positive to each of the 3 terminals one at a time. This will tell you which is which on the three terminals.
@1971BB427 , true! I figured it's pretty standard and it did match the puzzle in my own case. I'd say the 'test with jumpers' should be followed whenever you are unsure. I like my power probe for this, but they aren't hobbyist cheap. Fused, probe shows and beeps voltage or ground, allows selection of power or ground applied through probe and nice long leads. Looking at the pics again, it sure looks like the bottom grounds thru that tang sticking up from the housing. That leaves the 2 side terminals to be low and high. The bulb will provide the clue for that, which is not in hand. Here's a bulb for sale with good views of the terminals. https://www.ebay.com/itm/350863968139
