I have a rebel wire kit im installing. I have the gauge lead going to the gauges but no power. looking at the back of the fuse panel I see the alt exciter wire on one side of the 10 amp fuse feeding the gauges. I am using a 1 wire alt so didn't use the exciter wire. how do I get power to the gauges ? what am I missing?

The gauge lead from the fuse panel should be hot with ign. on.. Take your 12v lead from the battery side of the ign. switch that is hot when the switch is on.

Bad fuse? Does the lead from the gauges go to the fuse panel? If so then there should be a fuse for the gauges.

Sounds like they are using the exciter wire for the 12v battery lead to feed the system. You can take your hot lead directly from the battery post on the starter solenoid. Also check to see that the gauges are grounded.
