I'm rewiring the head/park lights in my 52 mainline, I dont know how I've driven this thing 15000+ miles without it catching on fire. Anyways there are two wires going into each headlight (I would ***ume one is high beam and the other is low) but there are also two that go into the parks. Anyone know what the second is for? Do I have directionals and not know it?

Here is the kicker,up until 1955 turn signals were in an option mostly in the Mainline series but the wiring and sockets were in place for them.If yours does not have a turn signal arm you may want to consider one of the clamp on universal turn signal switches as they also incorporate flashers into the mix, they only run around $25-$30 an are an EZ install.

On a '56, the second wire on the parking lights is a ground.
